I think officially something can be considered a success if it's featured on Oprah:

It's amazing to think that a few years ago I was recording Ben's voice over into our old DVCPRO camera to edit with, while Duncan and the rest of the Media One crew were made to sit extra quiet in the other room.  They had a goal:  get an MTV show, inspire.  Well, I'm inspired boys - a job well done.  A rich dose of Canadian content for the world to enjoy.

We recently commissioned Victoria artist Erik Van Kobra to create and install one of his works in our Bridge St studio. We saw an opportunity to collaborate and record the work and conversation - an art project for an art project.  Timelapse and audio captured with the XLH1 video kit, accompanying footage shot with the Canon 5d MarkII.

We recently picked up a small HD camera capable of some pretty unique and dynamic camera angles.  Here is some raw footage of a recent trip through the Southern Gulf Islands and the Straight of Juan de Fuca with David Smith of Professional Components in his 37ft, 900hp suspension seat testing Zodiac, the "Free Endeavor".

Erik from Ascension Studios (the tattoo shop next door to Media One) spent the morning tattooing live on the Zone 91.3 here in Victoria, in support of the upcoming Capital City Tattoo Convention; the brain child of Ascension shop owner, Shawn Steinberg.  The event is really coming together for them - because of all the hard work they are putting in - and Media One are proud to offer our support, through video production, website development (http://www.capitalcitytattoo.ca/), print ads, posters, etc.  It truly is a 'multimedia' project and we're having a great time doing what we do, and helping friends out along the way.  Featured in this video is the Canon 5d camera and our new HD mini camera with various mounts - this time it's strapped to Erik's chest!  This video was shot, edited, uploaded and virally shared in under 3 hrs.
